Homework

All the children will receive homework throughout their time here. Some homework will be to reinforce and consolidate work they have been doing in class. At other times, children may be asked to investigate or prepare for a piece of work. There will always be an expectation that your child reads aloud at home regularly to an adult and this is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing that you can do to support your child's learning. Even the most fluent readers benefit from reading to somebody and discussing the text they are reading.

We have recently started to introduce 'Family Homework Projects'. These have been very popular and have led to some really exciting moments in school. They have included; building castles and building exploding volcanoes! We have been overwhelmed by the responses from families and there is no doubt that the time spent together as families, completing projects such as these will be hugely beneficial.
