Year 5/6 - Miss Grace 2025 - 2026

Wecome to our Year 5/6 class page. Of course this is a very important and special year for our Year 6 children as it will be their last year at primary school before they make the transition to high school. We will support them to prepare for this during the summer term. Learning will be tailored to meet the needs of the children regardless of which year group they are in.

In our class, we will have the highest expectations of all children. They will be expected to be exemplary role models for other children and there will be many roles and responsibilities for them to undertake.

Preparation for SATs testing will begin after Christmas but we will sensitively balance this to ensure children do not become overwhelmed by it. We expect all children to work hard and strive towards their personal goals throughout the year. Your support and encouragement is crucial here. Please also support your child to get into good homework routines and to develop independence in preparing themselves for each day.
