Year 3/4 - Mrs Hawitt 2025 - 2026

Welcome to our class page for Year 3/4! The transition into Year 3 is a really important one for all children as it is a step into Key Stage 2. We have the advantage of having a mixture of both Year 3 and Year 4 children in our class which often allows the maturity of the older children to rub off on the younger children. Regardless of which year group the children are in, we will provide a warm, secure environment for them all to thrive and progress on their learning journeys.

The pace of work will increase now the children are in Key Stage 2 and we will have high expectations for them all. It is really helpful if you can support your children with homework exercises and ensure they continue to read regularly at home. Please also ensure your child has a PE kit in school at all times.

For the Year 4 children in our class, they will also be preparing to take the Multiplication Check this year, so we will do lots of work on recall of times table facts to ensure they are ready for this.
