Welcome to Foundation Stage!

Within our Foundation Team we have Mrs Davies and Miss Hughes. We provide a stimulating environment where children can feel safe to explore and learn new skills. We pride ourselves in developing independence through play.

During their time in Foundation Stage, your child will be supported to become familiar with school routines and to gradually develop greater confidence and independence. This may include self-help skills like putting their own coats on and getting changed for PE independently. We will work really hard to help your child to develop early reading and writing skills and your support with this will be really important. The more practice the children can have with these skills, the better they will become.

We welcome you into our family at Astmoor and support you and your child's first steps into formal Education. Please do come and get to know us and let us know if there is anything we can do to support you.
