Mrs Louisa Aldridge
How long have you worked at Astmoor and what do you like about working here?
I have worked at Astmoor Primary for 19 years now. Initially, I came here as a Year 1 teacher, then I became Deputy Headteacher and I am now Headteacher. I have enjoyed all of my time here. The children make me laugh and smile every day and each new day presents me with something new to do.
Where do you come from?
I was born in Widnes but spent most of my life in Runcorn. I moved back to Widnes about 10 years ago.
What is your favourite subject?
I love teaching English and art. They are two of my passions.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?
I would love to have superhuman speed so that I could fit everything I need to into one day.
Tell us something funny about yourself.
When I was a teenager I tried to be helpful to my parents and all the neighbours by pulling all their wheelie bins back from the top of the road where we lived. The problem was, they hadn’t been emptied by the bin men! I wasn’t very popular!
What is your favourite food?
Now there’s a hard one because I love food! I particularly like Italian food though such as spaghetti and other pastas. I like cooking it too.
