Mrs Kelly Langley

How long have you worked at Astmoor and what do you like about working here?

I have worked at Astmoor for 5 years and since I first came here I have felt a real sense of community at the school.  As a new member of staff I felt really welcomed and I hope that this is something that we pass on to new children and families.

Where do you come from?

I grew up in Runcorn and went on to study at Manchester University.  I still live locally.

What is your favourite subject?

English – I love the way you can get lost in a good book and it’s great to share this experience with children for the first time when we explore stories in my Year One class.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

I’m afraid it’s a bit of a cliché but it would definitely be flying.  You would have the opportunity to visit some amazing places, plus you would never have to sit in traffic again!

Tell us something funny about yourself.

I once slept on the couch for an eight days straight because there was a spider on the loose in my bedroom….I couldn’t sleep there again until I was absolutely sure it wasn’t going to crawl into my bed while I slept!

What is your favourite food?

Tapas – I LOVE food and can never make me mind up what to order on a menu so this means that I can try a little bit of everything.
