Mrs Carole Craig - Support Staff

How long have you worked at Astmoor and what do you like about working here?

I have been at Astmoor since April 1998 (20 years).  I have seen lots of Pupils and staff come and go, lots of different characters and personalities. No matter what, the school is always a happy, warm, friendly and vibrant place and that is the reason I like working here. My job is so varied there is no time to get bored, but that’s the way I like it!

Where do you come from?

I was born in Chester but have lived in Runcorn all my life, originally in Halton Village.  A local girl, I went to St Mary’s Primary School and then Norton Priory Comprehensive.

What is your favourite subject?

My favourite subject at school was probably Geography, but now I have to say it would be Formula one closely followed by dancing/music.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be and why?

If I had a super power it would have to be to be able to make sure everyone was happy in their lives I don’t like to see people sad or unhappy.

Tell us something funny about yourself.

I have a shoe room at home (I like shoes what can I say!)  You will always hear me moving round school!

Most of my shoes are high heels to cover the fact that I am really only 5ft 2in, My height caused me a bit of a problem recently as I went to drive a Ferrari at a test track I had to pull the seat all the way forward and then I could only just reach the pedals and see over the steering wheel this made it a little scary!

What is your favourite food?

I love all Italian and Mediterranean food as long as there’s no meat in it!
